A sweet, compassionate dog
Recently, we’ve seen a number of kind deeds and odd alliances between many kinds of animals.
It turns out that when it comes to giving care and comfort to those in genuine need, nothing rivals a dog’s gentle heart.
Those angels, which we call dogs, seem to be not only men’s, but everyone’s, best friend.
It also tells the tale of Pretinha, a compassionate dog who adopted some young opossums and raised them as her own.
A calamity caused the mother of the young ones to pass away, leaving the newborn opossums alone once more with very little chance of surviving.
However, they already had luck on their side when they were found just in time.
The opossums were saved by dog trainer Stephanie Maldonado in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
She then proceeded to walk directly to a neighboring wildlife rescue center.
But the kind woman persisted. Despite the knowledge that it would be an almost impossible task, she brought the poor creature inside and vowed to feed and care for it.
Even though the opossums were young, only a supernatural force could save them.
Fortunately for them, Stephanie’s beloved dog Pretinha was the miraculous.
The moment Pretinha came into contact with the unhappy little animals, her mothering instincts kicked in.
As if these were her own children, she started to smell them, kiss them, and make them feel at ease.
Thanks to Stephanie’s tenacity and Pretinha’s generosity, the young opossums are now healthy and content.
Of course, they are identical to their adoptive mother. Pretinha values her role as an adoptive mother as well.
