Seats made of wood and resin look like ocean cost
In this collection of distinctive furnishings designed by designer Rivka Wilkins and carpenter Jared Davis, the sea touches the earth. Their project mixes colourful multilayer plastic artwork with a recycled hardwood block to create a seat and coffee tables. Davis’ expansive tables were decorated by Wilkins, who is renowned for her sea works, with dazzling whirling azure and extraordinary patterns that evoke the warm soapy sea flow. These paintings will help you feel as if you were there at the seaside because of how realistic she renders the ocean.
The striking pattern created by Wilkin covers the majority of the wood block. A sliver of untreated hardwood with a natural edge complements her shiny hair. Tough wax has been used by Davis to coat this area, giving the wood a low-gloss surface and safeguarding it from spillage. The inclusion of flat metal iron legs to every item gives the design a modern feel. The table and seat are immediate conversation starters in any space when combined with the one-of-a-kind surface treatment.
Each of these items are offered at Davis’ WoodWorksbyJared Etsy store.
