Emmeline Austin and her husband Michael had no idea that going to the zoo with their newborn would turn into such an emotional experience that would bring them to tears, but that’s exactly what happened. It all started when she and her husband visited a gorilla exhibit and ran into another.
It’s no secret that mothers have a special bond, and this video demonstrates that even if one of them is a wild animal. Gorilla Kiki walks up to the glass at the beginning of the video to admire the month-old Canyon, and the massive primate knows to be as gentle as possible.
Kiki touches the glass softly, giving her that motherly look all the time, but that was just the beginning of the sweet encounter. After Kiki gawked at the newborn, Kiki had someone else she wanted the couple to meet: Pablo, her 7-month-old baby.
