Elephant mother and the one who saved her life
In Kenya, a sanctuary called the David Sheldrick Environmental Trust looks after orphan rhinos.
The elephants are released back into the wild once the time is right and they are prepared.
It also involved Yatta, who had been imprisoned in the facility in 1999.
Ten years later, Yatta reintroduced herself to nature.
Although she left the monastery more than 8 years ago, Yata would never remember some of the people who looked after her.
She made the decision to visit them unexpectedly as a result.
Just that she wasn’t by herself this time; her infant was with her.
But it was necessary to capture such a wonderful event on camera.
The infant was given the name Yoyo after the caregivers videotaped the incident.
But the team said that Yata did it with her firstborn calf.
The carers stated it is quite amazing, even though it is normal for orphaned elephants to return to the area where they were raised.
And it’s wonderful to see those wild animals while recalling precious times spent with the people who used to look after them. very much like Yatta.
Consider our joy when she chose to give birth to her second child with us, returning to her former detention facility and human community.
So that we can participate in celebrating the birth of her new child, a handsome boy, the crew continued.
