4 wonderful cats
Four kittens that were discovered only a few days after birth gave each other embraces as they made their journey to their forever homes.
A litter of kittens in dire need of rescue was found close to the Jacksonville, Florida, beaches.
Their mother cat passed away, leaving four newborn tabby kittens.
The finder issued a plea for assistance in the hopes that a rescue would offer the kids a shot at survival.
The animal emergency room nurse Kaitlyn saw the request and offered to take them.
“I immediately realized that these cats needed help.
They came to me cuddled up together as snug as a bug when they were just 2 or 3 days old.
Just take a look at these gorgeous, adorable faces!
To help regulate the temperature, Kaitlyn put them in an incubator.
Warm and well-fed, they dozed off peacefully in a cuddle puddle that evening.
The kittens, which were given the names Scanlan, Percival, Grog, and Vax’ildan in honor of cartoon characters.
They needed to grow quickly because they were underweight.
At five days old, they were the size of a healthy newborn kitten.
Once they were robust enough to eat from a syringe, their appetites increased dramatically.
And they ate the kitten formula like it was nothing.
