Kittens are playing on snowy roadways
A cat seen wandering on ice roads is ecstatic that her young are protected from the weather.
A cat was seen walking about outside in the snow about a month ago, according to Mellissa, the sanctuary’s supervisor (in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada).
“I received messages from a fellow rescuer wondering if only I could bring in a really pregnant cat from the street,” Mellissa told Love Meow.
Thanks to Jackie, Mellissa’s rescue companion, this cat, Missy, was saved the following day.
For the first few days, Mellissa could stay in the chamber with the cat mommy and tell her that she has been safe.
With the help of some cat treats and a lot of willpower, Missy came to trust.
Missy found the courage to break from her daily routine and explore the kitten area in the morning.
She warmed up to her partner over time and started to feel at home in her new place.
When Mellissa entered the room casually a few weeks later, everyone was taken aback. Missy had two little furry companions by her side.
As time went on, Missy was better able to take a step back and enjoy the inside life. She started pleading for Mellissa’s sympathies right away.
