But when the couple found out that two twins would be born soon, it seemed that there was no limit to happiness. The older brother and sister of the future babies were also looking forward to their birth.
The couple came up with names for their girls in advance – Amy and Kathy. The babies were born in September. However, plans changed dramatically.
At the end of May, Amy’s first twin was born. Although she was born much earlier than the stated date, the girl felt more than normal.
Amy’s weight at the time of birth was 500 g. The second sister was born a full 87 days later, weighing 2.5 kg.
Although the first twin had already gained weight by that time, she was still much smaller than Katya, the second sister.
These girls immediately attracted media attention. Moreover, Katy and Amy got into the Guinness Book of Records, thanks to the big difference in birth.
There is an interesting tradition in the family – birthdays are celebrated twice a year. The first time is celebrated on Amy’s birthday, and the second time on Katie’s birthday.
Now the girls are 9 years old.
