Becoming a parent is what most couples dream of.
When a family finds out that they are expecting a baby, they are very happy and look forward to a new chapter in their lives.
Jocelyn and Ignacio Robertson, a couple from North America, became parents for the first time. Jocelyn became pregnant shortly after her marriage.
The pregnancy was going well, and every ultrasound showed that the baby was developing as it should. But then, just days before she was due to give birth, Jocelyn noticed that she was bleeding.
Since she was worried about the baby, she called her husband and asked him to come home as soon as possible. He rushed her to the hospital, but there they received shocking news. The child’s heartbeat was absent. Since they couldn’t believe what they heard, they asked for a different opinion, but the result was the same. The child died in the womb at the ninth month of pregnancy.
Jocelyn was then forced to undergo a caesarean section.
She was devastated and had difficulty accepting reality.
But then something extraordinary happened. What the doctors called a miracle.
As soon as the child came out, they heard him breathing. Within minutes, the baby was transferred to the neonatal intensive care unit, where his breathing and heart rate improved even more.
When they first picked it up, the proud parents said, “We only found out about it then. It’s a miracle that Noah is here, and I’ll be eternally grateful”.
Just a few days later, his mom and dad were able to take him home.
