Kittens were saved by numerous good people
Nikki Martinez, a Las Vegas-based rescuer, learned of the discovery of three kittens under a young couple’s home approximately a month ago.
The remaining kitten was completely out of reach and would not emerge despite their best efforts to capture it.
After waiting until almost midnight, they made the choice to bring the first two infants home.
The kittens had terrible living circumstances under the home, covered in dirt and parasites. The two young children had their much-needed showers as well as eye cleaning and treatment.
For the first time, they were able to get some rest that night, sleeping peacefully in a warm bed.
Nikki and her husband went back to the house to complete their third kitten rescue while Dani was taken to an animal hospital for more care.
Even though it took a village, they managed to find the mother wild cat and had her spayed and examined.
The third kitten, Jae, was initially frightened but rapidly adapted to the cosy indoor life after having the debris out of her eyes and eating well.
After spending a few days in the hospital, Dani was reunited with her two sisters. As a trio, they devoured the meal before collapsing for a quick nap.
Dani gained 2.4 ounces in one week, a significant increase for a small kitten her size.
Being close to her sisters encouraged her to eat more and gave her a constant sense of love.
