A little kittens
A calico cat was brought into an animal shelter with her siblings.
She was the only one who still required constant bottle feedings, and she was young.
Cinco (Cici), as she arrived on Cinco de Mayo, was just the size of a palm and still had a ways to grow.
For the first time in her life, Cici went to bed with a full stomach and a warm, comfortable bed.
Every time she entered the room carrying a bottle, Sarah would scream at the top of her lungs.
Additionally, ask her foster mother for a head scratch when she is on her tiptoes.
Small squeaks replaced her loud meows as she savoured her full belly.
She would happily spend hours kneading while lying on her soft blanket.
Over the next three days, Cici made rapid progress and fully exhibited her personality.
She persisted in being a chatterbox, narrating her day to her foster mother while she attended to all of her needs.
She exuded confidence and self-assurance, behaving like a stoic little princess who was always going about her own business at a very elegant, deliberate pace.
Once Cici was medically cleared to meet other kittens, she entered a spacious room with a few other foster mates.
A charming lady named Gaia was one of them. She walked around with an air of unaffected confidence.
The calico came up and cuddled up to her like they had been littermates their entire lives.
Despite having other feline friends to play with, Cici preferred to follow Gaia around while they stayed in each other’s line of sight.
