In some ways, “they’re all wild and free,” says Myketka. “There are lots of different types of birds, all of which are exquisite, and they all stand for lightness and liberty. Three or four birds on a tree represent a household, whereas two birds represent love. I create wooden figurines based on my inspiration.
Every item is created differently by Myketka, yet he always takes care to preserve the incredible beauty of his resources. He claims that “each new encounter changes the way I make my artworks.” There is a regular procedure for carving wood, but when you mix a great piece of wood with multicolored epoxy glue, you need a lot of creativity and expertise to preserve the natural beauty of the wood.
