A dog protected her puppies with every way
A gorgeous dog waited for help; Nana hid her puppies in a ditch. She is four years old and has lived most of her life in abhorrent circumstances. She was chained up in front of her human’s house in North Carolina when they posted on Facebook that they were giving her and her puppies away.
After learning about the terrible conditions in which Nana and her nine puppies were living, the neighbours did not hesitate to intervene to rescue the dogs and provide them with the care and attention they needed.
Although Nana had given birth three times, the first two litters regrettably did not make it.
Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary (FFAS) immediately reached out to Mr. Bones & Co. Rescue to help after learning about Nana’s predicament.
The founder of Mr. Bones & Co., Elli Frank, told The Dodo, “They gave us pictures of the circumstances and situation they were in while living there. She moved the cubs, in our opinion, to a ditch to protect them from the sweltering July sun. She seriously hurt me.
When FFAS made the decision to look after the lovely family until the puppies’ lactation period was over and they could be transported to New York, they were already residing at Mr. Bones & Co.
Finally, characters from Peter Pan were used to name the dogs: Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Tiger Lily, Wendy, John, Michael, Cubby, Liza, and Jane. The effort to gain the dogs’ complete trust was made over time and in small steps.
She was a protective mother. She had suffered so much from loss and abandonment that we wanted her to know that she was safe and would stay safe with us and FFAS.
