Until he met his new mother, a beagle who lost his eyes was all by himself

A beagle who lost his eyes

Shep the blinded beagle was found in Alabama strolling alongside a road. His neck, one eye, and other eye were all completely missing, and he had already suffered horrific injuries. He himself was disoriented and alone.

After being picked up by Two by Two Animal Rescue, who posted about the 5-year-old dog on Facebook, Shep was adopted by his new mommy.

Micah Larsen Brannon, Shep’s mother, said:

“I knew we were destined to be together the moment I saw Shep’s image one night,” the author said.

A vet came to the conclusion that Shep had likely been chained up and unattended for some time before being found. Shep was discovered dead from exposure and with severe eye damage.

They took him to the ophthalmologist, who determined that Shep would require the removal of his remaining eye since it was too seriously wounded, leaving him completely blind.

Isaiah declared:

We don’t know how long his injuries went untreated, and nobody is really sure how long he’s been blind.

The dog, however, appears completely at ease due of his blindness.

Shep, who is now 8 years old, is ecstatic about his new life. He is incredibly fluid in his movements and is capable of anything he puts his mind to.
