Fearful and lovable horse
Naturally, the separation of a baby filly from her mother caused distress in both animals.
The two horses are a part of a sizable herd of wild mustangs that are free to wander the countryside of Virginia.
Holly G, the foal, wandered into a fenced-in area during the commotion and was stuck there.
Fortunately, help arrived in the form of a group of volunteers who had received specialized training in wild horse rescue.
They had to work hard and take their time to get the foal into their trailer.
According to the magazine, while the volunteers labored, a another team looked for the wild herd in order to reunite Mom and baby.
Thankfully, the herd was nearby. In order for Mom to be present to welcome the foal when she arrived, they were humanely penned in.
They weren’t prepared for how adorable the reunion would be, as you can see in the video down below.
Usually, wild horses are frightened of people. Volunteers contribute to the upkeep of the horses, but they are required to follow specific rules.
The reunion was supposed to go drastically differently because the herd was supposed to flee the approaching trailer. Instead, the opposite happened!
The most amazing thing is that wild horses will never approach a trailer, but the lovely mare didn’t think twice about approaching and then going inside to get her young!
The publication claims that it is simply fantastic.
We are ecstatic that Mom and Baby are reuniting. We appreciate all of your hard work, American Wild Horse Campaign.
