Amazing wooden art
Canadian artist Jynae Bergeron (also known as Art & Airplanes) connects with the nature via her artistic work. She uses woodworking and wood-burning process to make stunning wall art that is influenced by wildlife and hilly environments.
Her enthusiasm for this artistic media is influenced by her family’s heritage in woodworking. She tells My Modern Met, “I was given my grandfather’s ancient woodburning equipment when I was a youngster, and finally I started training myself the craft of pyrography (wood-burning).” I’ve become an expert in the field over many hours, years, and upgrades, and I’ve continued my family’s passion for woodworking.
The designs of Bergeron combine realistic depictions with geometric elements. To focus the viewer’s attention to the more elegant pattern of the animals and pine trees, she uses strong lines and planes. To portray their magnificence and inspire people to preserve and defend their long life, she says, “I produce representations of a varied assortment of animals, plants, and landscapes via wood-burning.
The importance put on using recycled wood in the artist’s profession is another significant component. To lessen my effect on old-growth woods and give the trees a second shot at being appreciated aesthetically through home decor rather than ending up in a landfill, Bergeron tries to utilise recycled wood whenever possible. “My goal is to convey, demonstrate, and foster thankfulness for the natural environment and the numerous blessings it bestows upon us.”
